Tony (Jang Woo Jun, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia ) |
Win Camp
It was good to have the chance that I could enjoy several activities this time. The most exciting one among WinCamp activities was to go to ¡°Wet'n Wild¡± I was pleased with many water rides and dabbling in water. It was also fun to go city shopping and enjoy lots of games at game room. And, canoeing was also great because it was my first time. It was scared though. Frankly, I couldn't stop thinking about my parents all the time. Especially, it was worse after talking with them. But, I could overcome with big love and care I had from host family.
Homestay
Frankly speaking, I had a hard time at the beginning even though they were kind and nice to me. But, at this moment, I like them much. Clayton tried to explain with using easy words when I had a communication problem, and spent much time with me. And, my homestay mother, Kellie, was always kind to me and prepared very delicious food for me. We liked to see soccer games and ride a bicycle on the most of weekends.
Activity
If someone ask me what the most enjoyable activity was, then I would say it was going to Wet'n Wild, shopping and riding a flying fox. Actually, I couldn't ride a flying fox because of time limit at the first time. But, I finally could enjoy it at the last minute for concerns from school teachers.
First of all, It was interesting to talk in English I learned from School with Australian friends. At last, my wish is to canoe on the next time.
School
I could memorize English words well by playing some games with my classmates & classroom teachers. The teacher slowly explained school lessons so that I could understand well. But, I hope to have a thinner and easier text book at the next time.
And, it was fresh to use a computer with Australian friends at school. Frankly, it naturally made me get along with them. Frankly, my classmates help me a lot. So, I could understand what teacher said. I also could memorize numeral in English during Math Class. Aha! I also could meet many friends by participating school camp in Sunshine Coast .
English
I think my speaking has been much improved since being in Australia . I was getting comfortable to speak in English by talking in English with my homestay family and classmates all the times. Besides, my listening was much better than before. Frankly, I couldn't understand even simple words at the beginning. But now I can understand the most time now.
The Happiest Moment
I couldn't ever forget every moment when I was in Wet'n Wild.
The Hardest Moment
When I canoed, it was really hard. But, I enjoyed it at the last.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Of course, I would like to join into the next Australia Camp. If I can join again, I would like to experience new various activities and make more friends than this time.

Steve (Choi Yong Woo, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia ) |
Win Camp
While I participated in Australia WinCamp, I could speak in English as much as I could. I really enjoyed doing most activities and going city shopping because I could experience something new I've never experienced in Korea . Frankly, I've never missed Korea during WinCamp. Anyway, now I have strong confidence in my English, I think I freely could be able to communicate in English with fellows.
Homestay
All of my homestay family was so kind all the time and they were punctual whenever they gave me a ride to school. I could learn very accurate useful expression from my homestay father and play cricket with my homestay brother. Through this chance, I would like to express my big appreciation to them. Even though I'm on the way to Korea , I will not forget even a single moment to visit my friend's home, to see movies with my homestay family.
Activity
I think I like to go Gold Coast, Wet'n Wild the most because I could swim as much as I want. And, I also liked Rock climbing. It was the first time for me. But, I enjoyed it much. Yes, it was much funnier than I expected. However, art craft was too boring. If I participate in the next WinCamp, then I would like to go camping one more time and play other outdoor sports like soccer or tennis.
School
ESL teachers dedicatedly taught English to us. But, it was regretted to learn English by the same way I learned in Korea . Anyway, all of the school teachers and students are very kind and friendly. Especially, I would like to deliver my special thanks to the teacher who spoke clearly and slowly for me during school lessons. And, I also took pleasure in various activities and spoke English with my roommate endlessly throughout school camp. I now think that my English has been much improved by discussing.
English
I assume that my listening has been much improved. Yes, I think my English upgraded naturally by making a conversation in only English with my homestay family & friends.
The Happiest Moment
I was so happy because I could speak English continually & naturally.
The Hardest Moment
Frankly, I enjoyed everything. No, there was nothing I didn't like.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
I want to join into USA camp at the next time to experience more energetic activities.

Jane (Park Ji Hoon, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia ) |
Win Camp
Actually, it's the second time to join this Australia WinCamp. And, I think I made a perfect decision to rejoin Australia WinCamp. Especially, I won't be able to forget the time I spent with my homestay family. First of all, visiting host family's relatives was the best moment to me. Frankly, sometimes, I thought that I would like to stay here forever. (Sorry parents!)
Homestay
My homestay mother was really nice to me. She always encouraged me to speak in English and help me a lot. So, I could improve my English and get along with the rest of homestay family than I concerned. I went shopping on weekends and I also had free time inside of my room when I felt lazy.
Activity
The activities that I like the best were to go shopping, south bank and Wen'n Wild. Especially, I had Korean food and swam at the south bank, I was so happy. And, asking some questions I made in English to foreigners was also great experience to me.
School
Frankly, I couldn't understand the most lessons at the beginning. But, I could feel that I was getting better because of teacher's kind explanation and heartfelt kind. Memorizing vocabulary was also useful. But, I hope it to be thinner on the next time. After school camp, I could make more friends. First of all, I won't be able to forget memorable moment related with surfing I played during school camp.
English
I assure that my English upgraded a lot by thinking, speaking and listening in English all the times. In my case, writing a diary and doing homework in English helped me a lot. Frankly, I was joyful whenever I find only small mistake in my diary and homework.
The Happiest Moment
I had the happiest moment in south bank because I could have Korean food I missed so much.
The Hardest Moment
I felt lonely when I couldn't get along with many campers at the beginning. But, I could overcome soon for teacher's big concern and care.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
If I can, I would like to join into the USA camp on the next time I've never had.

Hero (Kim Dan Ah, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia ) |
Win Camp
Frankly, I was so awkward to speak in English at the beginning. But, I found that I'm getting better on speaking in English as time goes by. After getting over fear about English, I started enjoying new experience in Australia . I went shopping several times, experienced various activities and had wonderful memory that I've never had in Korea . And, now I had stronger willing to learn English.
Homestay
My homestay family was perfect for me. They often went outside for shopping so that I could buy cloths, encouraged me to speak in English beside me. Frankly, I didn't miss my natural family for them. In the case of my father, he always asked me what I wish to do on weekends. So, I could have wonderful time on every weekend. If I could be back to Australia by WinCamp, I would like to stay with them again.
Activity
I liked going shopping, swimming at the South Bank & Gold Coast the best. I'm sure that everyone including me enjoyed swimming because of hot weather Asking questions we made at school to foreigners outside was very helpful to practice my English and recording new & learned vocabularies on cassette was very effective way to memorize them.
School
ESL teacher was always kind and kindly explained whenever I couldn't follow lessons. By this chance, I would like to show my sincere gratitude to her. Because she helped me a lot, I could learn without big difficulties and had lots of conversations with my homestay family at home & Australian friends at school. Frankly, It was the first time I studied a lot by myself. At the end, I naturally could enjoy break time by talking, laughing with classmates as I did in Korea .
English
I assume that my English advanced very much by continuous communication in English with homestay family at home and classmates at school. Frankly, I couldn't understand what they were saying at the first time. But, now I can understand most of words.
The Happiest Moment
I think I was so happy when I found my favorite cloth at the dress shop. There were so many different styles' cloths I have never met in Korea .
The Hardest Moment
I was so sad I had to change my homestay family because of changed time schedule
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
I definitely would like to rejoin into the next WinCamp with expecting another fantastic experience.

Anica (Kim Ji Yeon, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia ) |
Win Camp
During this school vacation, I think I had unforgettable experience I won't be able to have in my life. Yes, I could have kindness from homestay family, spend fantastic time with Australian friends and experience new several activities during this camp. And, my English also could naturally upgrade. Frankly, I am so happy because I can understand English quite well now.
Homestay
Frankly, I couldn't be well at the beginning because of cultural difference including food. But, I could start adapting to the new surroundings for big care and love around me. My homestay family helped me a lot whenever I had difficulties on my homework. Especially, I could get along with my homestay sister by swimming at home pool soon. At the end, she became my best friend and we promised to keep in touch. If I can come here again, I would like to watch movie with her.
Activity
Wet'n Wild, Honey Factory and City Shopping were the best activities. I revisited to Wet'n Wild with my homestay family later. And, I was really happy when I found some gifts for my grand parents. And, I had great fun for myself as one of general teenage girls when I was in shopping.
School
ESL classes were very good because the teacher gave us very easy lessons. But I studied only English without learning other subjects such as Science, Society, Physical Education and etc unlike students in Emu class. Frankly, ESL textbooks were a little bit difficult for me.
And, time at the Pallara State School was very good. Australian friends helped me to adapt to school. The school camp I joined was also great. Frankly, it was regrettable that I was hesitated to take part in or not at the first time. Anyway, it was really enjoyable.
English
Having conversations with Australian family & friends was so hard to me at the beginning. But, as time goes by, I could talk with homestay family at first, and then talk with friends later. I think I made progress in my English because I tried to have steady talks in English with people around me.
The Happiest Moment
I had the happiest moment when I was with my host family.
The Hardest Moment
I like most parts of WinCamp. But, I didn't like to take dictation test during the class.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
If I have the chance, I would like to be back later after upgrading my English.

Saint (Jeong Sung Woo, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia) |
Win Camp
I've learned a lot of things from this camp for three weeks. ESL classes were very helpful, but activities which I could have various experiences from were especially interesting to me. The reason why I participated in this camp was not only to improve my English but also to have lots of experiences. Particularly, Rock Climbing, Boomerang, South Bank and the BBQ Party were very interesting.
Homestay
My homestay family was always nice to me. Thanks for my homestay mother, I could have several delicious food every day. I was happy to talk and play with my homestay brother, but sometimes he bothered me a little. Whenever he did, I thought he is my family with smile.
Activity
All the activities were very interesting, but the most interesting activity was Rock Climbing. The instructors who helped us and went on the Rock Climbing were really fun. They spoke excitingly. That's why I like it the most. Moreover, it was much more interesting to me because I could know how strong I am.
School
My ESL teacher was an Australian who is very tall and beautiful. She is so attentive that she answered all my questions scrupulously, and we played some games during the classes to study English. It was fun to me. It was a little bit bored when we studied only with the textbooks, but most of the classes were very good.
English
The most cooperative people to improve my English ability were my homestay family. During the dinner time, we sat around the table and talked about the day. It was very helpful. I hesitated to express and to talk with them for the first time, but I didn't do at all later thanks for my homestay family.
The Happiest Moment
Even though I've had lots of useful activities and my homestay family was very nice to me, I missed my real family and friends in Korea . I just couldn't wait to meet my family and friends the last day of the camp.
The Hardest Moment
For the first time, I had a hard time to express my opinion using English. It was really frustrate. It was the hardest time that I couldn't understand what they are saying in English.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
I've been in Australia and participated in the Australia camp, so I'd like to join the other camp to the other countries next time.

Edwin (Ahn Yong Hun, 2007 Winter Win Camp in Australia) |
Win Camp
The activities were the most exciting to me during the Win Camp. The ESL classes were good because I could study English, but I like the activities more. I've usually had a thought that it's better idea to have much more time for the activities during the camp.
Homestay
Fortunately, all the members of my homestay family were very kind. The kindest and the most helpful one in my homestay family was father. I like him the most, but all the homestay family helped me do my homework, prepared lunch for me and treated me very nicely. I was very comfortable with my homestay family during the camp.
Activity
I like going to Gold Coast the most among the activities in Win Camp. The clean beach and beautiful sands were wonderful, and it was really exciting experience to enjoy the waves with my friends. I thought it is really good to have one more chance to go to Cold Coast before I leave Australia , but I didn't feel good because I couldn't go there one more time.
School
We played lots of games to study with my classmates and the teacher, Len, during the ESL classes. Len prepared various games for us, and we could study English as we enjoyed the games. It was really useful and helpful for us. However, I think the teacher sometimes tended to consider the girls more.
English
My homestay mother talked to me a lot, so I could speak in English many times. I think that's why my English ability is improved a lot. Other members of the family also helped me very much, but mother helped me doing my homework.
The Happiest Moment
Having the BBQ party in South Bank was the most memorable and happiest moment for me during the Win Camp for three weeks. There were lots of delicious food, and I could enjoy the food whatever I want. Moreover, I could have a great time with my friends as surfing. That's why going to South Bank was the most interesting for me.
The Hardest Moment
The baby who is a member of my homestay family came into my room, and I played with him. Suddenly, he cried because he stumbled over something. I did nothing on him and I just sat down the chair, but I felt kind of guilty. It was really embarrassed me.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Yes, of course, I definitely would like to join in the next Australian camp.

Sally (Kang In Sun, 2006 Summer Win Camp in America) |
Win Camp
I was so happy to join this camp, again. Frankly, when I found friends I met at the last camp, I felt like that I met old friends or families. Yes, I freely enjoyed this camp by joining the activities I was thinking and experiencing new activities I've never gone through in Korea . During this camp, I made closed American friends (I am still maintaining good relationship with them so far), could do whatever I wanted to do. I also was so happy when I got compliments from counselors regardless of the outcomes.
But, I was so sad when I had to say ¡°Good ?bye¡± to friends at the end of the camp. Anyway, now I just look forward to seeing them again next year.
Bunk
I could feel more comfortable at this time. I think most facilities of the bunk were satisfied than the last year. Especially, I liked the changed condition of bathroom.
Only thing I was not comfortable with was the location of the Bunk. But, it became fine because I could move to another bunk closed to middle of campground..
Oops! I almost forgot to say that I was inconvenienced at the beginning of the camp because of the mosquitoes.
Activity
I was so in love to do activities. Especially, I liked circus program the most because it was the first time to experience circus that I watched by only TV or Movie. Actually, this was the one I hoped to practice at the last year. And I don't have any regrets on that I couldn't do more activities because there were so many activities I'd like to take part in.
English
I think that listening ability has been much improved than the last year. I was so happy because I could make conversation with English-speaking friends and learn more practical English expression that I can use in real life.
The Happiest Moment
I felt happiness at all times during the camp. Especially, I was so excited when everything related with camp looked so wonderful, met old friends I made at the last camp, and watched stars with ling down at night. And, I also couldn¡¯t forget the moment I passed interview of circus audition.
The Hardest Moment
The final parting from other campers was the hardest moment to me.
But, I easily could overcome the sadness because I have a belief that I can meet them at the next camp, again. For the next camp, I am thinking of preparing many things to enjoy more activities and try to improve my English.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Yes, of course, I definitely would like to join in the next USA camp.

Tammy (Eun Hyeong, Kang, 2006 Summer Win Camp in Australia) |
Win Camp
Frankly, it was so hard to speak in English. But, whenever I felt that I'm getting better, I felt so great. I could learn new vocabularies and check my English vocabulary ability has been upgraded by taking vocabulary and sentences tests. Besides, I liked when I used the words I had learned in real life. But it was sad when I get minus point as much as the number of questions I missed on the tests
Homestay
They were active Host Family who was so good to me. Especially, I liked Home-stay Parents because they always tried to go to some interesting places or go to park, ride bicycles, play tennis for me on Sunday or holidays. And, I liked a dog that made me fun.
Activity
I liked the most activities I joined. But, I especially loved to go to shopping at the Brisbane City and the Paradise Country because I asked the price and paid it by myself at the shopping mall, watched clipping wools, drank the billy tea and took some photos with various lambs.
School
It was fun to play with Australian friends and regret that I couldn't approach them easily at the first time. Schools in Australia were not that big as schools in Korea . But, there were kind and nice friends and teachers. There were two break times, first one was between 11am and 11:30 A.M, and another one was between 1:20P.M. and 2P.M.. I think the conversation with classmates when playing and studying together made my English better.
English
I could improve my English by hanging out with friends at school, and by talking with Homestay parents, Katie at home. As Australian friends, Ann, Jenny, Anh and Naithen helped me a lot. And, I also had great helps from Korean teachers; Dong Hee, Eun Hyung, Leena, Mi-Ri.
The Happiest Moment
Shopping with friends and helping homestay mother at home was the happiest moment to me.
The Hardest Moment
I had little hard time at the beginning of the camp. Actually, I couldn't stop crying because I was so missed my native family and couldn't communicate in English well at that moment.
But, after about 4 days later, I could overcome everything for heartful care from Korean teachers and Host Family.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Yes, I'm delight to go to WinEdu's camp next year. But, if I can, I would like to go to the WinEdu's USA Camp composed of only activities.

Andy (Park Jong Ho, 2006 Summer Win Camp in America) |
Win Camp
I enjoyed this camp so much because there were so many activities I could enjoy. There was no desideratum at all. Yes, I liked everything while I was staying there. I think I could enjoy it for counselors and friend's kindness, big assistances, and deep concerns. Actually, I regret that I couldn't make many friends at the beginning because of my shyness. But, except this, I liked everything.
Ah! I also liked drawing my breath, running at the open space because campground was located in the Mountain unlike Seoul , Korea where I'm from.
Bunk
Bunk life was always funny and exciting because of counselors and friends. I wouldn't be able to forget them in my life as they were so kind and fun. Because the atmosphere of freedom I felt in the Bunk, I couldn't even be blue. And, I also liked that I could eat every food I like.
Activity
I was fond of all activities I had joined and satisfied with them. Among them, I especially like the magic class the most because I have not had the chance to see and learn them in Korea even though I originally liked to do the magic. Frankly, at that moment, I was so happy to think about if I'm showing my magic in front of family and friends in Korea . In fact, it was so disappointing that I couldn't do every activity. Anyway, I would like to do them next year.
English
I think my English has been much more improved after the camp. Before the camp, I was so afraid to speak in English. But, now I can speak freely in English without hesitant.
The Happiest Moment
When I started making friends, taking part in the activities, I had excitement, tension moment, anticipation and those feeling always made me happy at that moment. I think the moment I stayed with friends and counselors was just dear memories to me. Frankly, I've never thought that I could hang out with foreigner friends like this time.
The Hardest Moment
It was at the beginning of the camp because I didn't know how to express my opinion in English. I think I tried to speak in English so perfectly at that moment. But, I greatly could enjoy the camp with counselors and friends soon. But, I was so regret that I couldn't make many closed friends.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Yes, I would like to go to WinEdu's USA Camp again. I'd like to meet friends I made at this time, join in the other various activities I have not done.

Phillip (Seong Hoon, Park, 2006 Summer Win Camp in Australia) |
Win Camp
For the first week of the beginning, I missed my family and friends so much. But, after one week,
I just could enjoy the new life here because I could have fun with friends by participating Saturday's activities. I think I would not be able to forget these valuable memories I had with Host Family, friends. Aha! I also would not be able to forget the Australian handball game I learned here.
Homestay
They were so good and so great. There were not only kind homestay parents but also brothers who became my friends and brothers. I usually spent more with Joel about my age. Well, I had gone to the shopping with homestay family once, I was happy as I could buy the skateboard at only AUD$10.
Activity
I liked the most activities. But, the best activity was going to the shopping mall because I could buy whatever I want. On the shopping day, I bought gifts for parents and friends in Korea as well as the ball I liked.
School
I like the most parts of the school I was in. It was a big school, has long break time unlike school in Korea . Actually, I took study tour program at one public school for the 5 weeks of the beginning and then changed to the new school to experience short-term studying abroad for the left 4 weeks. Personally, I was so sad to be parted from friends and nervous to make new friends again at the new school. But, I now think that I was lucky because I had chance to meet many friends at the both school.
English
Australian friends had greatly affected me because I had to speak only English to communicate with them.
The Hardest Moment
During the camp, I was so busy to do much homework. Frankly, the happiest moment was the time I went to the bed after finishing homework and the hardest moment was the time I had to go to the bed with leaving homework undone.
Would you like to join in the next camp, too?
Yes, I would like to join in WinEdu's Camp one more time. But, I hope there would not be many homework. ^^:
